Dates: September 8 - December 6th, 2026 (12-week program)
Cost:
Group A - 30 Sessions (33 Hours)- $593.99 plus GST
Group B - 30 Sessions (33 Hours)- $593.99 plus GST
Schedule:
- Group A: Monday + Wednesday, 4:00–5:00 PM
- Group B: Tuesday + Thursday, 4:00–5:00 PM
- Game Play: Friday, 4:00–5:30 PM
- Girls: Week 1
- Boys: Week 2
- Co-Ed: alternates Group A (Week 1) / Group B (Week 2)
- Boys, Girls, or Co-Ed
- Max 12 athletes per group
Program Purpose
Prepare is designed for athletes beginning their organized basketball journey or preparing for school basketball opportunities. Players develop fundamental skills, game understanding, and confidence through small-sided and modified full games, applying skills in real decision-making contexts.
Who This Program Is For
For Grade 6, 7, and 8 athletes preparing for junior high basketball. Offered in Boys, Girls, and Co-Ed formats, with a max of 12 athletes per group. This program helps athletes build the foundation needed to participate successfully on a junior high team.
Program Goals
- Develop ball handling under pressure, including change of pace and direction
- Build finishing skills from various angles and situations
- Improve passing reads and timing in space
- Learn to create advantage through drive, pass, or cut
- Introduce team defense concepts (help, recover)
Coaching & Instruction
Coaching uses small-sided and modified full games with situational play, presenting athletes with advantage and disadvantage scenarios to build decision-making in real game context.
Program Format
Initial Evaluation & Team Formation: Early sessions evaluate skill level to build balanced, competitive groups within each format.
Weekly Training Sessions: Two practice sessions per week (Group A or Group B), plus bi-weekly Friday game play.
Fall 2026: All cancellations and refund requests made prior to August 1, 2026 will be subject to an administration fee of 20% of the overall total, plus a 2% payment processing fee. There will be no refunds for any Youth Development Programs after August 1, 2026.
