Fall 2026 U11 (Grade 4-5) Youth Development Program — Foundations (Co-Ed)
Location: North (9 Richardson Dr, St. Albert)
Dates: September 8 - December 6th, 2026 (12-week program)
Cost:
Group A - 30 Sessions - $539.99 plus GST
Group B - 30 Sessions - $539.99 plus GST
Schedule:
- Group A: Monday + Wednesday, 5:00–6:00 PM
- Group B: Tuesday + Thursday, 5:00–6:00 PM
- Game Play: Friday, 5:00–6:00 PM, bi-weekly (Group A plays Week 1, Group B plays Week 2)
- Co-Ed
- Max 12 athletes per group
Program Purpose
Foundations is designed for players ready to build on their love of the game. Athletes continue developing physical literacy while building the skill foundation needed to play and enjoy the game, with an introduction to decision-making and the habits that support long-term basketball development.
Who This Program Is For
For Grade 4 and 5 athletes (co-ed) continuing their basketball journey beyond a first introduction. This program creates the foundation for future basketball development, with a max of 12 athletes per group.
Program Goals
- Develop dribbling under light pressure and finishing at the rim
- Introduce shooting off the dribble and passing with movement
- Build off-ball movement (pass and cut)
- Introduce basic defensive concepts (staying in front of your player)
- Build confidence through guided play and introductory problem-solving
Coaching & Instruction
Athletes are coached through guided play with introduced constraints, encouraging problem-solving as they build on first-introduction fundamentals.
Program Format
Initial Evaluation & Team Formation: Early sessions assess current skill level and group athletes for balanced, age-appropriate development.
Weekly Training Sessions: Two practice sessions per week (Group A or Group B), plus bi-weekly Friday game play.
Fall 2026: All cancellations and refund requests made prior to August 1, 2026 will be subject to an administration fee of 20% of the overall total, plus a 2% payment processing fee. There will be no refunds for any Youth Development Programs after August 1, 2026.
